Drugstore wise, Physicians Formula is the No. 1 brand in America. The price is super affordable in the states and I’m constantly seeing buy 1 free 1 deals or buy 1 get 50% OFF on the 2nd item. Created back in 1973 by Dr. Crandall out of love for his dear wife who had sensitive skin, Physicians Formula IS the brand that developed the first hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and dermatologist tested makeup. Fun fact: he is also the first makeup creator that puts SPF in makeup. Who knew!
Physicians Formula has always been a brand that I’ve wanted to try ever since I started watching YouTube a few months ago but because it is not available locally here in Malaysia, I never get the chance to. When I think of it, it’s odd that I never wanted to watch YouTube at all previously. I don’t get how my ex-employer could spend half a day watching YouTube, researching for editorial materials. Now that I’m hooked to YouTube, my wishlist for international brand is getting larger and larger. Thanks to iHerb.com, I can finally get my paws on a bottle of Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Foundation & Brush SPF 15 that was first introduced by Judy on It’sJudysTime YouTube channel back in January 2014.
To add more excitement to how well-received this foundation serum is, whaddaya know…the foundation comes with a small slanted flat top Pro Blending Brush. The below photo is how Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Foundation & Brush came through the mail. The foundation glass bottle and brush was securely cushioned and densely packed into a clear base in the box. iHerb.com did not bubble wrap it. I’m glad nothing broke and nothing was leaking. I trust iHerb but I don’t trust the postman 😛
Last month I shared with you My Favourite Top 3 Online Beauty Stores and I did mentioned that iHerb is a favourite online site for most people I know due to it’s low international shipping rate. I also mentioned that I probably don’t have the patience to wait for the shipment to arrive, which I don’t and still don’t 😀
The story on how I made my first iHerb purchase came about when I wanted to pick up Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Sam’s Picks Exclusive Brush Set. Unfortunately for me the brush set is out of stock and it will only be available in April. April came along and the brush set is still yet available so I waited for another few more weeks but to no avail. Finally I decided to forgo the brush set and get individual brush that I need instead. There’s so many things I wanted to pick up right away however I took a good few days to rethink if I should as the mother of all warehouse sales is happening in three weeks time.
This is a small haul which I shared with my friend Cynthia.
My iHerb transaction was surprisingly smooth. I would expect lots of drama but there was no nonsense. Not that I wanted chaos or whatsoever but I seems to be quite unlucky sometimes when it comes to online shopping. Furthermore iHerb is not local so can’t blame me for over thinking 😀
