Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer & Photo Finish Foundation Primer: Not a necessity for others but a daily must-have for me

Primers are what deemed as optional product. Some people don’t think it’s necessary while some like me couldn’t live without primer for the face and for the eyes. My skin goes through ups and downs. Sometimes I had makeup meltdown and sometimes it’s as fresh as applied in the morning. It drives me crazy!

As I said before in my On The Rocks Holiday Collection, Smashbox is the least talk about brand. The only time I heard or saw Smashbox is either on Photo Finish Lid Primer or Full Exposure Palette. But the most talk about is still their wide range of primers. Overall there are a total of 10 primers within the brand, eight of them is face primer while two is lid primer and under eye primer.

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner: A recent discovery that I wish I’d known earlier

Although I don’t have a clear, even lip line especially on the bottom lip, I’m not used to applying lip liner before lip stick. Generally are you’re aware, I have dry, chapped, wrinkly lips, and lip liner will dry or accentuate the lip wrinkles even more. It is only last year I started to wear lip liner when I’m feeling the tiny bit fancy for the day but I wear it in a different way, which I will share with you soon. 2015 is the year that totally change me when it comes to liner liner, thanks to Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner. I was so thrilled that Smashbox include two of their Always Sharp Lip Liner for me to review and the shades that I got are Fuchsia, my favourite shade of all and Nude Light, the PERFECT nude shade.

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner
The name Always Sharp Lip Liner is self-explanatory. At first I wasn’t aware that the name actually do mean what it mean. I thought it’s just a product name without thinking deep. You know me. I’m always blur lol. Smashbox created this awesome lip liner that self-sharpens every time you twist the cap off. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? The idea came from Marilyn. Audrey. Angelina, icons who prove that one of our core beauty beliefs that a lip can make a legend. Inspired by these perfect pouts. So Smashbox created this product that not only to Self-Sharpening but also a product to Glide-On Shaping and Color-Match Sculpting legendary lips.

BareMinerals Customizable 6-Piece Get Started Kit: My current favourite mineral powder foundation

When it comes to Sephora, BareMinerals is the most generous with providing samples to the store. I remember many years ago when Sephora opened a store in KLCC and there was a BareMinerals READY Foundation and brush deluxe sample redemption. I redeemed mine successfully even at that time I wasn’t their White Card member. Fast forward to 2014, a few years after the first Sephora store here in KL, BareMinerals foundation and brush deluxe sample is the most given out GWP by far.

I never went back to purchase the highly raved BareMinerals powder foundation because the deluxe sample doesn’t work for me. The powder is sheer and the mini brush which is suppose to bear the same bristle as the retail size brush is so scratchy and flare out. At that time I couldn’t understand how or why everyone like it. How could anyone replace liquid foundation with mineral powder foundation that sheer? I soon learnt why.

BareMinerals Customizable 6-Piece Get Started Kit
It all started with me watching From Head To Toe YouTube video on how to apply BareMinerals foundation. That’s when I was sold. Of course I have some reservation as well because Jen’s skin is flawless compare to mine. I think it was about 2-3 months later I finally gave in and went to Sephora to purchase the Customizable 6-Piece Get Started Kit.

Real Techniques Nic’s Picks: My first impression

Ever since I found out that Real Techniques is launching Real Techniques Nic’s Picks set back in August 2014, I was super excited. I’ve always been fond with chrome-handle brushes and they’re near impossible to get in Malaysia. I knew that I can get my hands on Real Techniques brushes easily. Can you imagine my excitement when this set is made available in iHerb.com?

Real Techniques Nic’s Picks is a limited edition brush set from Nic Chapman, one of the sisters behind beauty blog and YouTube channel Pixiwoo and it was finally launched in October 2014. It wasn’t until middle of November that I placed my order from iHerb.com. I was patiently waiting for iHerb to come out with the special 20% OFF offer and it finally happened. Needless to say, I placed my order in less than 5 minutes and a few days later, the brushes arrived my doorstep. These beauties remained in the box until two weeks ago. I took them out, gave them a good deep thorough bath and eagerly used them the next day.

Sam Chapman came out with a similar set last year aptly named as Sam’s Picks. I was contemplating if I should get Sam’s Picks earlier this year and while I was still contemplating, I heard about these chrome-handle Nic’s Picks. It’s just about the right time as Sam’s Picks was discontinued and Nic’s Picks made it’s way in.

First & Second Impression: Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Mattes, Cream Blush & Amazing Lipstick

As someone who is absolutely fanatic about discovering new makeup brands and new makeup products, I find myself looking for the best price and deal around town. I find it hilarious that my friends called me the best bargain hunter. They said I always make them spend 😛 . You’re missing out big time if you didn’t follow me on Instagram because that is where I shared the most about my daily discovery.

There’s a new makeup brand phenomena happening recently and a little birdy told me earlier that this brand is very affordable. If you still don’t know yet, Makeup Revolution is the brand that I’m talking about and they finally made it to Malaysia early December after massive promoting on the Instagram for the past few months. I was sent these to try and I’ve been using all of it diligently for nearly a month. I have mixed feeling about it so here’s what I can tell you based on my first impression as well as my second impression.
