Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow 5-Color Palette #Fierce Safari: Back to the jungle as Jane

Hello again! I hope you enjoyed the first Estée Lauder week product review that I posted two days ago, which is the Estée Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance™ Compact Makeup. You’re here because you like what you read and you want more. Good to know because things have just gotten more interesting.

For the second Estée Lauder week product review, let’s talk about eye makeup. Let’s all go oohhsss and aahhhss on Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow 5-Color Palette #Fierce Safari. It’s the most gorgeous shimmery gold and moss green eyeshadow I’ve ever seen.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow 5-Color Palette Fierce Safari
Interestingly, the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow 5-Color Palette was designed to complement the Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick that was launched just a few months ago. Not sure if you notice or not, Estée Lauder ventured into a modern and sophisticated look for Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick casing design. It is definitely something new and different for the company. Now, once again Estée Lauder goes into the same design direction and came out with this new compact design for the complementing eyeshadow palette. It defines modern, sleek, simple and elegant. The gold lining on the side defines powerful but yet the overall casing still maintain it’s feminine. Navy is also Estée Lauder’s corporate color so you will see everything of the brand in navy color, including this palette. The case is made of navy mirrored compact with Estée Lauder embossed logo on the bottom middle of the casing. This reflects the signature color cues of the brand. The new casing design also feature an innovative, magnetic closure. I absolutely love anything that are with magnetic closure and so there will be no more wrestling with the palette 😀

Estée Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance™ Compact Makeup: A compact foundation that doubles up as concealer. Makeup done in a jiffy!

This week will be all about Estée Lauder and nothing but Estée Lauder only 🙂 . I received three makeup products a month ago and I haven’t got the chance in photographing and reviewing them until last week. Yeap. Work had taken the free time I had and so I have to draft out a whole week content on Sunday alone. It’s crazy because I get distracted with catching up all the YouTube videos that I missed.

I’m going to start off Estée Lauder week with base makeup. I can’t tell you how excited I am with this Futurist Aqua Brilliance Compact Makeup. My current craze is cream compact foundation so this one was spot on.

Estee Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance Compact Makeup
Estée Lauder introduced two Futurist Aqua Brilliance base makeup in October 2014. One is a liquid foundation (Futurist Aqua Brilliance Moisture Infused Liquid Makeup SPF 15/PA++) while the other one is a cream compact foundation (Futurist Aqua Brilliance Compact Makeup SPF 20/PA++). It’s a brilliant idea to have the same product in two different medium as each individual do have different preference. I’m okay with liquid most of the time but compact works much faster for me now that I have just half an hour in the morning to do the whole makeup routine.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet: It has everything you want for a matte lipstick

When it comes to lipstick or any forms of lipstick at all, my go-to has always been matte lipstick. Matte finish lipstick is my absolute weakness. However, having a dry and wrinkly lip makes any matte lipstick application and finishing a challenge. But I still love it. The trick is to have a well-moisturized lips. What about IF I am too lazy for all the prep work and just want to have a matte lipstick to work on my lips? I can name you several matte lipstick that I personally find good but there is one that is a game changer. Introducing Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet v2
When Bourjois opened its first kiosk in Sunway Pyramid back in June 2014, I made my round and was looking for Rouge Edition Velvet in particular. I was of course introduced to Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick (one of their top 3 product) and since I wasn’t into normal lipstick, I decided to wait for the matte version instead.

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette: An all-in-one palette that you’ll never need to reach out for others to complete a look

I never quite get the excitement on Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette until I started using a few weeks ago. Let’s be honest here. It’s certainly not a love at first sight when I first saw the palette appearing all over YouTube a few months ago. After watching numerous Mrs. Mia Wallace-alike makeup transformation video, I still don’t get what’s the deal with the palette. It looks normal on the front, doesn’t make me scream upon looking on the inside and the shades are…..normal.

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette
Here’s a fact. I was kinda nervous when I was sent the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette to try #notasponsoredreview because this is a full on neutral, smokey palette, which also mean there is no other color to play with. Although I’ve been dipping my toes into neutral shades lately but I still dab on at least one color to balance the look. It’s like a personalized makeup technique of mine 🙂 . Can you imagine how nerve wrecking it is for me not to be able to play with colors? lol.

MAC Paint Pot: 4 reasons why you need it in your life

I’ve been wanting to get MAC Paint Pot ever since I heard about it from various Youtube beauty gurus. Two of the most mentioned Paint Pot is Painterly and Soft Ochre, which unfortunately is not the two that I’m about to talk about today. I knew I would be going to the annual Estée Lauder warehouse sales so I hold on to my purchase at the store, hoping MAC would throw in a few pots at the sale event. I made a beeline to MAC right after stopping by Bobbi Brown. I was right alright. MAC did indeed had a box of Paint Pot on clearance. I managed to take my sweet time choosing the right pack with the right shade for me and so I went home with MAC Paint Pot Bare Study and Layin’ Low.

MAC Paint Pot Review v2
The reason why I chose this duo is because Bare Study is the lightest shade available but unfortunately it was paired in a pack with Layin’ Low. That’s how it is at warehouse sales. You don’t get the best of both world. All these while I know these pots as “Paint Pot” but Layin’ Low is labeled under Pro Longwear Paint Pot. I took a quick glance at MAC website and Paint Pot is now referred as Pro Longwear Paint Pot. Well, I’m just going to call these Paint Pot 😀

ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame (Clear/Dark): Absolute must-have brow mascara to tame the unruly brow hair and to keep them in place all day long

I know I am slightly obsessed with anything to do with brow but I swear this ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame ‘came’ to me out of no where. The story is, I haven’t been browsing iHerb for a good few months so I thought of visiting the site to see what’s new. You know, window shopping for fun? But because I have been searching for ‘brow mascara’ through the internet and on iHerb before, this new product – ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame popped right at the recommended product section. I click on the link and the rest is history although the whole process took a few weeks because the product was out of stock. Initially I wanted to get the darkest shade of all (Clear/Deep) but the shade on the tube freaks me out so I decided on the second darkest of the lot, which is the one I’m reviewing today 😀 .

ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame
ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame comes in five shades namely Clear/Light, Clear/Ash, Clear/Medium, Clear/Dark and Clear/Deep. Each of these cost only USD$3 (RM9.81) which is absolutely a steal considering you get two different product with two different function. There is nothing to shout about on the packaging because ELF has always been keeping everything simple from as long as I know them. When it comes to ELF, I’m not bothered by it’s packaging as I am too a minimalist 😀 . Eventhough the packaging is kept simple, I like that I can find all the information that I need to know about the product from the outer box.
