Antipodes Review: Skin Care Skin Care - Cleanser

Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser: A pretty decent gel cleanser for everyday use that smells good too

I probably have no sane idea how this Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser review will turn out because when I’m typing all this out, I’m high on flu, sore throat and fever medication. Oh yes, it’s a deadly combination of sickness. I spent the whole of Saturday and Sunday on bed covered with two blankets, a jacket and fleece socks on. Let’s hope this review turns out fine *fingers crossed*

I still remember that I got this cleanser right before Chinese New Year this year. It has been sitting in my beauty stash for months before I took it out to use two months ago. For some reason I took a longer time to determine if I like an all natural product or not as to compare with other skin care range. That is because on my skin, natural product takes a longer time to work.

Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser

GLAMGLOW® Review: Skin Care Skin Care - Hydrating Skin Care - Masks

GlamGlow ThirstyMud™ Hydrating Treatment: Different from the usual mud mask but still Hollywood’s backstage secret

I finally came to the realisation that I do not have oily skin at all. In fact I have normal skin at the moment and probably dehydrated at times. For the last two months or so, I’ve been enjoying matte face while having makeup on. I would put on makeup in the morning, go out mingling the whole day and returned home in the evening with a slight shine on my T-zone. That continued until the first week of my new job and then by the second week, my face is so oily all day everyday and I’m frustrated. You see, my office is like a chiller. It is so cold that I’m wearing thick fleece jacket and my colleague wore winter jacket in the office. Now that’s really serious.

While I was desperately searching for a solution, GlamGlow sent me a jar of ThirstyMud™ Hydrating Treament, which is their first new product after YouthMud and SuperMud to try. I’ve been using this treatment for the past few weeks and I’m ready to tell you what I really think.

GlamGlow ThirstyMud
GlamGlow came up with the most creative box packaging ever. The brainchild behind GlamGlow creativity is none other than the brand’s Co-Founder, Glenn Dellimore. I’ve read a number of feedback saying the extravagant outer box is not necessary and that they would prefer if GlamGlow use the fund to “up” the size of the product. To be honest, I’ve no problem with the box at all. Well, a good and attractive packaging sells.

Black Silica Salt: Ditching chemically produced products for 100% natural derived ingredient products for a healthier skin

I don’t have good skin all the time. I used to have a skin that can take every single skin care products but that changed after a few skin allergy episode in 2012. I still remember the first time I had a “good skin state” is early this year and it went hay wired after trying a new skin care. A month ago, my “good” skin returned and you know what that means…it’s time to test out some new skin care 😀

Today’s skin care review looks like any ordinary skin care products. Not quite for me because I call this Black Silica Salt a bizarre beauty. Why, what, how, who, when and where? This you have to find out below!

Black Silica Salt Range
Black Silica Salt is a skin care brand brought in all the way from Japan by a Malaysian company, Mihada in early 2014. Black Silica Salt was originally developed by Reimei Japan since 2005. The founder are very protective about having their homegrown brand and product out from Japan so it took Mihada quite some time persuading Reimei to let them spread the benefits of the product of out Japan and to Malaysia especially. I’m glad Mihada managed to brought this brand into Malaysia as there is no other place to purchase this product but from Japan directly.

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub: It’s a facial scrub that look and feel like a facial scrub

A few weeks ago I walk into Watsons looking for the cheapest drugstore facial scrub and walk out of Guardian instead with the most expensive scrub available – St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. I’ve ran out of counter brand facial scrub and I thought I would try something more affordable as recommended by all of you previously. My requirement for a facial scrub is simple. I prefer something with scrub beads in it and something that gives me the scrub-like feeling when using. Most of the scrub I see is either too watery or with no beads at all. I’m very traditional on this. A scrub need to look and feel like a scrub. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub gives me just that.

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub
What’s ironic was I used to hate St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. I remember about 10 years ago I bought a tube of this scrub as it was ‘the’ scrub highly raved and recommended by everyone. I hated it so much because the scent is smelly and unbearable. Fast forward to a few years later, once again I heard my friends talking about this scrub being the best they’ve ever used. I cannot help but to wonder how can they tolerate with such a yucky smell on their face. When I saw this newly improved St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub, I have no choice but to flipped the cap open and took a sniff. Now I don’t do this normally but I had to smell it. And it smells so good!
