Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette: An all-in-one palette that you’ll never need to reach out for others to complete a look

I never quite get the excitement on Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette until I started using a few weeks ago. Let’s be honest here. It’s certainly not a love at first sight when I first saw the palette appearing all over YouTube a few months ago. After watching numerous Mrs. Mia Wallace-alike makeup transformation video, I still don’t get what’s the deal with the palette. It looks normal on the front, doesn’t make me scream upon looking on the inside and the shades are…..normal.

Here’s a fact. I was kinda nervous when I was sent the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette to try #notasponsoredreview because this is a full on neutral, smokey palette, which also mean there is no other color to play with. Although I’ve been dipping my toes into neutral shades lately but I still dab on at least one color to balance the look. It’s like a personalized makeup technique of mine 🙂 . Can you imagine how nerve wrecking it is for me not to be able to play with colors? lol.

Life Hack: Drying Makeup Brushes with Towel Rail & Hair Ties

There has been numerous life hack ideas on how you can clean or even dry your makeup brushes at home at your convenience. I happen to be someone that slide on a Brush Guard sleeve on each brushes, tilt it upside down and put the brushes in a glass. It’s the same method that I’ve been practising and posted in this Tips: How to Clean Your Dirty Brush since early 2012.

Recently I stumbled upon a brilliant method from Instagram, which unfortunately I’ve forgotten who it was from and my Instagram has gone wonky as I was typing this so I’m unable to link her here but I will once I can access to Instagram but I finally found her after a full day of searching in Instagram like a headless chicken and I found her through other people who share her method. Girl, your method is my favourite!

Metal mirrored vanity tray for the ever growing collection of fragrances

I was in the dilemma if I should talk about this now or I should put it in my September Favourites. As you already know my monthly favourites will not have any item that I’ve mentioned before in the blog. After a whirlwind search on the perfect tray for my perfume collection, I thought this tray deserve it’s own standalone shoutout 😀 .

The idea came when Paris B of MyWomenStuff posted a question on her Instagram asking if we store perfumes in boxes or display the pretty bottles. I’ve always been the one who keep all perfume in it’s original box because I wouldn’t want to display it out and clean the dust off all the time. I keep all the perfume behind my vanity table’s sliding mirror compartment and I will only take one bottle out to use on a weekly basis. This organisation has been working out fine for me. Well, that was before I reshuffled all the furniture in my room and now my bed frame is blocking the sliding mirror making it a challenge for me to take my perfume out.

Initially what I pictured in my mind would be a cake platter/stand/tray or whatever you call it. In my mind I’ve always wanted a white flat top cake stand within the RM30 budget. If searching for the white one is near impossible, I can do floral on white surface and if that too is impossible to find, I can make peace with clear stand. You are seeing this means I wasn’t able to find any of those and then I had my heart on this metal mirrored vanity tray while on the hunt for what I initially wanted.

Vanity Table Beauty Organizer: DIY Cosmetic Box

I get to know about this DIY Cosmetic Box from my friend’s Facebook. His wife posted a photo of him installing the cosmetic box for her and the moment I saw it, I WANT IT. I don’t need it but I thought it’s cute. Isn’t it a cutie?

There are three colors to choose from – Pink, Red and Multicolor. I ordered the color Pink but it turns out like the Red from the seller’s Facebook page. Seller told me that this is the pink and the red would be red hot chilli pepper type of red. Anyhow the color is quite nice so no complain here.

At the moment, I am obsessed with watching YouTube beauty channels. I have quite a number of beauty gurus to watch daily so I thought I could give you a glimpse of who I’m currently following. I meant to post this up earlier but just when I was about to, I was drowned with numerous issues from the recent mishap from Mysale parcel. Now that its partly over, I can now go back to my comfort time and that is watching beauty tutorial videos. This might be a little bit lengthy. I have a lot of favourites. Judy is my favourite beauty guru on YouTube. I think you probably know that already as I absolutely love love loveeee my It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette, a palette that Judy co-created with BH Cosmetics. It’s the only palette I wore daily since the day I got it. Best purchases ever! I’m also obsessed with her daily vlog. If there’s no vlog, the whole night I would feel lost *lol*. I can see how stressful daily vlog can be for Judy and Benji. It’s addicting and I keep going back for more. I’m not the only one who felt this way if there’s no vlog for the day. Most of her fans feels the same 🙂
