Charles Worthington Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Haul

I tried searching Watsons Kajang for Charles Worthington a few weeks ago but to no avail. Finally I took the time to drove to Mid Valley on Monday and grabbed 2 version of this which is Brilliant Shine and Frizz Free. I paid only RM9.90 for the shampoo of 75ml and I got a 75ml conditioner for free. When I showed it to my ex-colleague, her respond was how many shampoo do you need when you have only one head? Opps ahaha she’s right.

I’ve tried Brilliant Shine a few days ago and I have compliments on how soft and beautiful my long straight hair is! However people with dandruff problem like me will have a slight problem the day after. I can see some dandruff but not that serious. Don’t expect this to control your dandruff cause this ain’t a dandruff shampoo. As I have oily scalp the day after shampooing the night before, I need to alternate this with Selsun Blue Dandruff Treatment Shampoo which I just discovered the effectiveness a few days ago as well. Nevertheless I absolutely think Charles Worthington lives by their moto. . . Salon Result At Home.

Official Launch of Isn’t Life Great? Brand Campaign for Watsons Brand Products

On 1st of June, I was selected as one of the blogger to attend an exclusive event of official launch of Isn’t Life Great? brand campaign for Watsons brand products at the KL Hilton.

Upon registration at the entrance, I was asked if I would like to get a facial or hand massage or both. I chose hand massage and then I played a simple game for my door gift. Read ahead to find out what have I got 😉

Watsons Senior Marketing Manager Malaysia; Faiz Shah walked all of us through their vision, future plan, concept, new products, new tvc and he gave us a quiz! He gave out a tips and told us to memorize the new tvc song.

The door gift?
Inside the beautiful sky blue paper bag is a media kit, and 2 item which I draw earlier at registration. I got myself H Bella Purify & Renew Body Polish and Whitening & Moisturising Facial Mask.
As this is a new range from Watsons, I’m gonna share with you the upclose picture. The huge jar is 250g. I have yet to open or try this body polish as I as reserving it for this picture.
The jar is transparent. So you can see the content from the outside. Looks yummy right? I can’t wait to try tonight!

Thank you Watsons Malaysia for selecting me as one of the blogger to attend this event. I attended lots of car or automotive launch and press events but I never attend any health and beauty event before and this is my first! I truly appreciate this previous opportunity given to me. Watsons Facebook Fan / Heath & Beauty Blogger Selection

Watsons has been conducting a search for 30 bloggers to attend a exclusive event which will be held 1st June from 2 to 5pm at KL Hilton. I was hesitating if I should submit my details in yesterday and I decided to go ahead with it. It’ll be once in a lifetime opportunity should I be selected. Guess what?! This afternoon I received a call from Kiru of Watsons Malaysia office and I was one of the selected bloggers! Yey!!

This just came at the right time as I’m currently on “garden leave” till end of next month.

Tsuya Tsuya Angel Eyes Mascara Toner

I accompanied my colleague to Watsons The Curve today and as I was walking out I saw something at Tsuya Tsuya shelf.

Tsuya Tsuya Angel Eyes Mascara Toner 5ml was retailing at RM5.90. Basically you just drop 2 to 3 drop inside the bottle. But something is very confusing. What is it? Look below.

The description at the back of this card said “when mascara has dried up, apply 2 to 3 drops on the mascara brush and slowly roll the brush inside the tube. Avoid pumping the brush for optimal results.”

Okay. So on the back of the bottle is another direction to use! It says apply 2 to 3 drops into mascara bottle for instant revival…

Which is which? Well I chose to put the toner into the bottle. Another info missing is the manufacture date as the expiry stated is 3 years from manufacture date. I’m not sure if it’s effective. I’ll find out tomorrow when I apply mascara 😉

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream #02 Natural – RM16.90

What is does and description. Also similar huh.

The nozzle. I like that it’s small as the BB cream is kinda watery. I wouldn’t want to squeeze more than I need 😉

BB cream at the back of my hand. I was disappointed as it’s dark for my skin 🙁

This is how the colour is after spreading the BB cream. The colour just dissolve and became transparent.

Now. What is the different between Clear Smooth Mineral BB Cream with Clear Smooth BB Cream?
Obviously one is with the word “Mineral” and one is without kekeke. Just kidding. *Ehem* In fact it’s true. Clear Smooth Mineral BB Cream is with micro-minerals while the new Clear Smooth BB Cream is just a normal version. Read my previous post here!

Price wise. . .is nearly the same. Mineral version is about RM2-RM3 more expensive than the one without mineral. Well, comparison from retail price of course. When both BB cream is on sale, the price is still RM2-RM3 different. That is normal as mineral makeup is always a lil pricier than others.

Packaging. . .is the same. Both is in the same tube shape. Both is in blue but different shade of blue though.

Content. . .is the same. Both is in 18ml tube.

Shade option. . .is the same. Just one shade available. Mineral BB cream is in the shade called “Fresh” which the normal is in “02 Natural”.

Shade. . .is not the same. Mineral is whiter while the normal is darker which will turn to slightly transparent/natural after spreading.

SPF. . .is the same. Both is with SPF26/PA+++.

Effect. . .just the same! Both claims on the 8-In-1 Benefits. However there’s a slight changes with the description. But it’s the same to me.

Something which is not the same. This is how both BB cream shade looks like before spreading. Both BB cream shade is different. I think it’s good as previously many people complaint that they have no shade to choose from. For me the Mineral BB cream shade is perfect for me as my 2-way foundation is darker so I prefer a ghastly ghostly BB cream. I think the shade 02 Natural is too dark for me 🙁

Comparison after spreading the BB cream!

I’ve tried the new Clear Smooth BB Cream. I like how it is invisible after application but my skin look dull the whole day. It definitely doesn’t brighten the skin like it claimed. I still like the Mineral BB cream on my skin. Oil control wise is worse than Mineral BB cream. The new one just doesn’t work for me. I wouldn’t repurchase this BUT I’d still repurchase Clear Smooth Mineral BB Cream. I’m on my 2nd tube now and I doubt that I’d change anytime soon as the price is very affordable and good too. But I guess many people would be happy with the new BB cream from Maybelline as the shade would mostly suit Asian skin tone. Although I don’t like it for my skin, I still think this is a good product with great price.

Watsons Haul…Again

My mission on yesterday’s trip to Watsons is to buy shampoo. Initial plan is to get Tsubaki and I ended up grabbing Asience as well. I absolutely love love Asience line.

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream (NEW release!), Tsubaki Damage Care Shampoo & Asience Shine Therapy Shampoo.

Tsubaki Damage Care Shampoo 220ml – RM16.90

As the shampoo is from Japan, the description is in Japanese so the new sticker description in English is replaced.

What it does and how to use.

Bottle was in a special shape so does the cap too.

I’ve been using Asience line of products before in gold and green version but not the pink version. I’ve been waiting for the line to reach Malaysia and finally it does! I love the gold and green line especially the gold line so I can’t wait to try this new collection! But I only picked up the shampoo and not the whole range.


Asience Shine Therapy Shampoo 220ml – RM14.90

The bottle shape is the same with their other 2 lines.

Shiny description label on the front top bottle which I find very useful when choosing the right range.

What it does.

Finally the cap!


My free L’Oréal shampoo are finishing soon. So I’m not gonna use this new shampoo before that.
