As a part of my journey into a more natural skin care products, I thought it only make sense if I were to use equally natural product to remove my makeup as well. I have the perfect product for quite a few months now. Recently I’ve been trying out this A’kin Rose & Geranium Pure Facial Creamy Cleanser & Toner, a best seller in the A’kin range to remove my face makeup as well as to cleanse and tone at the same time.
On the box it said that this is a day and night gentle cleanser, a face and eye makeup remover and it contain witch hazel that mildly tones the skin for dry as well as sensitive skin. Oh cool. It’s a 3-in-1 product. I love time saving products 😀
Ever since I found out that Real Techniques is launching Real Techniques Nic’s Picks set back in August 2014, I was super excited. I’ve always been fond with chrome-handle brushes and they’re near impossible to get in Malaysia. I knew that I can get my hands on Real Techniques brushes easily. Can you imagine my excitement when this set is made available in iHerb.com?
Real Techniques Nic’s Picks is a limited edition brush set from Nic Chapman, one of the sisters behind beauty blog and YouTube channel Pixiwoo and it was finally launched in October 2014. It wasn’t until middle of November that I placed my order from iHerb.com. I was patiently waiting for iHerb to come out with the special 20% OFF offer and it finally happened. Needless to say, I placed my order in less than 5 minutes and a few days later, the brushes arrived my doorstep. These beauties remained in the box until two weeks ago. I took them out, gave them a good deep thorough bath and eagerly used them the next day.
Sam Chapman came out with a similar set last year aptly named as Sam’s Picks. I was contemplating if I should get Sam’s Picks earlier this year and while I was still contemplating, I heard about these chrome-handle Nic’s Picks. It’s just about the right time as Sam’s Picks was discontinued and Nic’s Picks made it’s way in.
First & Second Impression: Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Mattes, Cream Blush & Amazing Lipstick
As someone who is absolutely fanatic about discovering new makeup brands and new makeup products, I find myself looking for the best price and deal around town. I find it hilarious that my friends called me the best bargain hunter. They said I always make them spend 😛 . You’re missing out big time if you didn’t follow me on Instagram because that is where I shared the most about my daily discovery.
There’s a new makeup brand phenomena happening recently and a little birdy told me earlier that this brand is very affordable. If you still don’t know yet, Makeup Revolution is the brand that I’m talking about and they finally made it to Malaysia early December after massive promoting on the Instagram for the past few months. I was sent these to try and I’ve been using all of it diligently for nearly a month. I have mixed feeling about it so here’s what I can tell you based on my first impression as well as my second impression.

What is the greatest thing about Christmas for you?
The greatest thing about Christmas is that I am lucky enough that every year, usually my family get together. It is about getting together with the people that I love and celebrating just being with them.
How will you be spending the holidays this year?
I have a house in Florida. I will be there with everybody in my immediate family, for the first time in a couple of years, all six of us, which will be nice. We won’t have a white Christmas, obviously, but some sunshine.
Mid day starts to be gloomy and you’re suck into the holiday mood isn’t it? Let’s made the day with Christmas preparation Q&A with Mr. Alright Alright Alright himself, Matthew McConaughey.
Do you find it difficult to keep in shape over Christmas?
Oh, yes absolutely! I let myself off. And I say to myself – you’re going to put on ten. Let’s do it! It needs to be done.
Do you go on diet after Christmas?
Yes. You got something to work for. I try to say, you know what? Don’t sit there and look at it, let it go.
