Benefit Holiday Collection 2014

Holiday Gift Guide 2014: Benefit Cosmetics Holiday Collection

Benefit Cosmetics is my least favourite brand as I find them to be slightly overpriced and to make things worse, the price is so much higher nowadays. Initially I wanted to show you Soap & Glory Holiday Collection but once I saw how many items they have and the time I’d spend to edit each photo, I’d rather show you Benefit Cosmetics Holiday Collection instead lol.

Benefits Cosmetics 2014 Holiday Collection
The collection this year intrigued me more than past previous years. I only had my eyes on just ONE holiday set from the nine sets that the brand has to offer. Bear in mind that all the below information was extracted from Benefit Cosmetics official website therefore I’m not sure if Malaysia will have all of it or if Malaysia is getting different sets and the price locally. You will have to pay a visit to Benefit to find out 🙂

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette: An all-in-one palette that you’ll never need to reach out for others to complete a look

I never quite get the excitement on Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette until I started using a few weeks ago. Let’s be honest here. It’s certainly not a love at first sight when I first saw the palette appearing all over YouTube a few months ago. After watching numerous Mrs. Mia Wallace-alike makeup transformation video, I still don’t get what’s the deal with the palette. It looks normal on the front, doesn’t make me scream upon looking on the inside and the shades are…..normal.

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette
Here’s a fact. I was kinda nervous when I was sent the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette to try #notasponsoredreview because this is a full on neutral, smokey palette, which also mean there is no other color to play with. Although I’ve been dipping my toes into neutral shades lately but I still dab on at least one color to balance the look. It’s like a personalized makeup technique of mine 🙂 . Can you imagine how nerve wrecking it is for me not to be able to play with colors? lol.

Estée Lauder Holiday Collection 2014

Holiday Gift Guide 2014: Estée Lauder Holiday Collection

Oh boy. Looking at Estée Lauder 2014 Holiday Collection brings back a lot of memories where I was a stalker at Estée Lauder Facebook page trying to get the first hand news on the Christmas set 😀 . My favourite will always be the yearly Blockbuster set whereas you only need to spend RM200 to purchase the set for RM250 that are full with all sorts of goodies worth RM1,920! Before I show you this year’s Blockbuster Set, let’s take a look at Estée Lauder’s holiday collection for 2014 shall we? Estee Lauder 2014 Holiday Collection This year is not as complicated as previous years in my opinion. Previously there was one or two sets that are only available under Purchase With Purchase (PWP) term, such as the Michael Kors set. This year, all the set are pretty straight forward and useful although I do missed the limited edition pouches. It’s a good thing I bought a few of previous collection to stock up 🙂

Holiday Collection 2014 Shu Uemura

Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura 2014 Holiday Collection: Ending 2014 with the most unique collaboration between a makeup brand and a feline

That’s right. You did read the title correctly. Shu Uemura collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld once again for the brand’s 2014 holiday collection but this time the star is not just Karl Lagerfel the legend himself but also his most spoiled cat, the snow white long haired princess mademoiselle Choupette, a.k.a. “Shupette”. Admitabbly, Shu Uemura is one of the brand I know of that never fail to launch a rather unique and one of it’s kind collaboration makeup collection. As you know, I’m currently churning out 2014 holiday gift guide from time to time but none of the brand had any actual event but this one. I was invited over for a preview and workshop for Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura 2014 Holiday Collection just last week 😀

MAC Paint Pot: 4 reasons why you need it in your life

I’ve been wanting to get MAC Paint Pot ever since I heard about it from various Youtube beauty gurus. Two of the most mentioned Paint Pot is Painterly and Soft Ochre, which unfortunately is not the two that I’m about to talk about today. I knew I would be going to the annual Estée Lauder warehouse sales so I hold on to my purchase at the store, hoping MAC would throw in a few pots at the sale event. I made a beeline to MAC right after stopping by Bobbi Brown. I was right alright. MAC did indeed had a box of Paint Pot on clearance. I managed to take my sweet time choosing the right pack with the right shade for me and so I went home with MAC Paint Pot Bare Study and Layin’ Low.

MAC Paint Pot Review v2
The reason why I chose this duo is because Bare Study is the lightest shade available but unfortunately it was paired in a pack with Layin’ Low. That’s how it is at warehouse sales. You don’t get the best of both world. All these while I know these pots as “Paint Pot” but Layin’ Low is labeled under Pro Longwear Paint Pot. I took a quick glance at MAC website and Paint Pot is now referred as Pro Longwear Paint Pot. Well, I’m just going to call these Paint Pot 😀
