For the past one month or so, there was an advert on my Facebook timeline that keep on appearing out of no where. I click on it and I was directed to SkinnyMint Facebook page. I don’t know how or why but SkinnyMint is kinda taking the female world by flash. Who doesn’t want to lose weight by just drinking tea right? So I decided to get the 14 Day Starter Teatox Pack to try. Initially I wanted to go ahead with 28 Day Ultimate Teatox and my friend Cynthia told me to get the 14 Day Teatox instead just in case I don’t like.

Toner, or some company refer as lotion is generally used after cleansing but before applying moisturizer. This step is crucial as it act as a bridge between the cleanser and moisturizer. Many would skip this step thinking it is unnecessary or not important, just like how some people would skip eye cream, which they deemed as unimportant as well. I was one of the many a few years ago. I would skip toner but not my eye cream because I learnt about a simple fact on using a proper eye cream than relying on face moisturizer as an eye cream. Anyhow that is a totally different topic 😀
Today I’m going to talk about the basic of skin toner. I’m not going into extreme detail i.e. astringents, floral water, fresheners, herbal toner and so on. I’m going to cover the few different types of toner in basic. This is what you should know at least. I remember a few years ago I would skip toner because no BA would tell me toner is equally important in a skin care regime. They would tell me I can skip it as it doesn’t do anything to the skin. There are so many different types of toner or lotion available in the market. Do you know which one you need?
I haven’t been spotting any interesting magazine recently. All the Japanese magazine and MOOK has been rather boring with the same ol’ freebies. Nothing to shout about with local magazine and seeing imported Chinese magazine is the same as well makes me even more sad. BUT. All that changed when I make a trip to KLCC last Sunday. My first stop was Kinokuniya. I managed to score a copy of ELLE Hong Kong July 2014 that comes with their travel brush set 🙂
Initially I wasn’t sure if I want to get it. I would prefer a normal brush size than travel size to be honest. I have yet to use my Shiseido travel brush set and I just broke into my MAC travel set. It was the last copy on shelf. For a RM28.90 price tag, I knew I’d regret if I don’t get it. Because I couldn’t read Chinese and the brushes was inside the closed pouch, I have to make sure I wasn’t just paying for the brush pouch. So I squeeze the packaging and confirmed that there was indeed three brushes inside the pouch.
If it’s not due to the extremely high international shipping fee for BH Cosmetics, I would have not bought anything from Mysale.my. I told myself this would be the last time I buy from Mysale. Let’s face it. I’m not the type of person that can wait nearly two months for the parcel to arrive.
I placed my order on the 30th June 2014 and the estimated delivery is within 29th July to 5th August. I tried contacting Mysale FOUR TIMES to track my parcel but to no avail. The tracking provided in the member account is literally useless. I called Quantium only to be told that Quantium’s role in this is to act as a third party on all custom related matters. All Mysale parcel is under ABX responsibilities. Oh Lord. The nightmare begins. I’m not going into details on what went on with ABX. Let’s just say they are the first courier company that shout, yell and scolded me – the customer. To cut the story short, I received the parcel this morning, with lots of anger cursing written on the shipping label. I have to photoshop it out because it’s nasty. This is the condition of my parcel. Soiled. The supposed to be hard and sturdy padded envelope is as soft as a tofu.
Then I found THIS. It is so obvious that my parcel was compromised. Based on my online buying and selling experience, the glue on padded envelope is quite secure, unless the content is huge and force into the envelope then yes, box tape is needed.
