Tell you a silly story. Actually this MIVVA “Snow White” October 2013 Edition came to me by surprise. I didn’t know I’m getting a box this month because usually mine arrived the same time with everyone else. So when everyone already received theirs, I thought I’m not getting any. But I wasn’t sad or anything. I already knew that MIVVA have a lot of bloggers under their review wings. In fact I was happy to hear other fellow blogger friend whom never received MIVVA, received theirs for review 😀
One day. Just this one fine day. I came home to a parcel on my bed. I was actually happy that the girls didn’t forget me LOL! So this month’s “Snow White” edition really took me by surprise. I had this excitement of receiving beauty box all over again. Let’s see what’s in this MIVVA “Snow White” October 2013 Edition shall we? Ready?
I don’t know how other girls can photograph the whole box looking so full but I always like a clean look so I took away the black paper on the inside therefore it might looked a bit empty but actually it’s not really :D. For MIVVA I only expect one thing – diversity of new brand and product.
For someone that have unstable skin condition like mine will need to change daily moisturizer constantly. There are times where my skin are dry, peeling but oily at the same time and there are times where my skin are just purely oily. To be honest with you I’m a bit addicted in opening up those jars of moisturizer from my stash.
Just to update you a bit on my skin before Himalaya Nourishing Skin Cream came along. A few months ago I was having a hard time with the oiliness on my face. My makeup melted frequent, I blot so many times in a day…everything is just too oily for me. I figure that my skin has reached it’s peak whereas I used too much skin care and that I don’t need that much anymore. So I cut down on my serum. From 3-serum to just one and then moisturizer. It was working out great but later on my skin was back to oily. But I was depressed because I love layering my skin care. How am I going to finish my stash?? One day, someone (I forgot who oppss!) told me that it could be that my skin is too dry. She advised me to use moisturizer, although I told her I did use. Maybe not enough 😀
So, I re-look back into my skin care regime and change my moisturizer. To creamier one. The only one I have is Himalaya Nourishing Skin Cream and it has been staring at me for months!
There is nothing to shout about on the packaging. I got to admit. It’s not attractive, it’s not screaming “USE ME NOW”, in fact it looked like some Middle Eastern company produced it LOL. The brand name on the other hand doesn’t sound Eastern so it really looked a bit dodgy.
As far as I know, many of you are a regular of Bag Of Love. Some are regular subscribers, some are hard core fans and some are avid beauty box/bag subscribers. Me on the other hand is based on the mood and content. I’m a “touch and go” subscriber 😀
I know too that many Bag Of Love subscribers subscribe after seeing the bag design. Usually I don’t. I’ll just wait for the content sneak peek. I’m not into pouches although I do admit the pouch design is nice especially this Bag Of Love “Take Me There” September 2013 Edition.
I’ve seen perfume miniature but very rarely do I get to see a rollerball perfume. Usually I keep a perfume vial in my wallet and I’m running out of vial. When I found out that I’m getting this in Bag Of Love “Take Me There” September 2013 Edition, I was beyond happy 😀
I can be very random at times. Although I have been thinking to check out the Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Medium Multi-Function Tote at Michael Kors boutique, I never really set a target to buy it. Maybe I’ll buy after checking it out but just never went straight on buying. The randomness hit me on my birthday eve while I was driving to Dome The Gardens Mall for breakfast with Jerine.
Right after breakfast, I went up to the Information Counter to ask which level is Michael Kors. To my disappointment…it’s not opened yet. Dang! The desire to buy it right away was so strong that I can’t stop thinking of getting it. Ultimately both me and Jerine went to Kate Spade as they have something similar but it was not as good looking as Michael Kors. We also thought of rushing over to Pavilion but I needed to haul some skin care at Clarins Metrojaya so I went home without a Michael Kors bag that day. You see…I’m not someone that will buy luxury bag. To spend on one on birthday eve gave me a solid reason to buy one for myself.
So a week later (which is last Sunday) I drove to Pavilion. Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Medium Multi-Function Tote at Pavilion boutique was selling like hot cake that they only have Navy, Black and Vanilla. I requested for the SA to check on other branch on Luggage (color name for brown) and looks like One Utama still have it.
So I rushed over to Michael Kors One Utama.
Michael Kors boutique at One Utama is the second outlet in Malaysia if I’m not mistaken. Pavilion one was so much smaller comparing with One Utama. However being one of the luxury brand here, both outlet’s SA is extremely polite and helpful. I wasn’t dress to kill on that day when I stepped into both boutique. I never do on weekends 😛 and I was treated with extreme good customer service.
Looking at the current beauty box subscription services available in Malaysia, a different approach of business module is not optional but necessary in order to differentiate one from the rest. This is exactly what Vanity Trove Malaysia did. Change.
Just a few months ago, Vanity Trove announced a change in the game plan by stopping their usual monthly beauty box subscription service to a service that I called Personalized Vanity Trove. So what this means? This means Vanity Trove will no longer send out boxes to their subscribers monthly. This also means you will no longer be surprised with the content in the box.
I have blogged about the new service in this link but I have not go through the whole process personally. When the right sample popped into the product list, I got myself a box.
Did you notice the new box? I was so surprised to see that I’ve gotten the new box design. This new design is more classy, more thicker and more harder too. I like that Vanity Trove maintain the simplicity design and of course the drawer box. I would be really sad if it’s not drawer box anymore :).
