CC Cream has been taking the beauty world by storm recently. The migration from BB to CC is intriguing to most beauty enthusiasts as it’s something new, something different and let’s face it…the name “CC” itself is already interesting enough. Let’s hope there’s no DD or EE Cream after this :D. Oh wait, there is a DD Cream now. Anyway, I’m not here to talk about BB, DD or EE Cream. I’m here to share with you a new CC Cream on the CC bandwagon 😉 Dr. Brandt is the most recent brand to jump into the CC Cream bandwagon. Just end of July 2013 they had a press launch for their new CC Mat With Signature Shinerase™.

Dr. Brandt CC Mat is an all-in-one oil-free colour control cream that provides instant mattifying coverage and oil-control while giving the skin an instant makeover, just like a flawless work of art :D. It provides a matte finishing but yet natural looking to even out skin tone and the SPF 30 PA+++ in it is to protect the skin using 100% mineral filters. CC Mat is more suitable and ideally to be used for oily/combination, blemish-prone and sensitive skin types. As you already know, I used to have combination skin until I was diagnosed that I have oily skin. I suppose it’s not necessary that your skin will be drier as you get older because I’m one breathing example of the total opposite 😛
Review: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray (Oil Control), New Packaging But Same Ol’ Same Ol’
After not quite getting the hype on Urban Decay De Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray that I bought back in 2011, I was desperate to finish up the huge bottle. It took me a good six months to finish it. When news about Sephora bringing in the “new” Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray in travel size, I just got to have it. I went to Sephora but unfortunately I couldn’t find it. I only spotted this Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray (Oil Control) while on my way out of the store on another separate trip to Sephora.
Word of advice to self – read your own product review before splurging. Yeap. I should read my own review before jumping in Sephora like that lol.

Why say so? Well. I thought this is NEW. I thought this is different. It’s actually not :(. It seems like Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray undergo a new packaging from the old one that I bought back in 2011. This new white, minimal, clean bottle is designed by Lauren Beck. However I found out that “new” Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray comes in a few variant – Long Lasting, Oil Control and Cooling & Hydrating. I have oily skin. I bet you are getting bored of me saying that LOL but I still get tons of email asking me what’s my skin type o.O. Anyway I choose “Oil Control” of all three variant. My second option would be Long Lasting. Anyhow, Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray comes in two sizes – 120ml full size and 30ml travel size. I was mainly attracted to the travel size because of the price. I thought I could give this another try for a fraction of the price.
Brand Introduction: Neal’s Yard Remedies, UK Handmade Health & Beauty Product In An Eco-Friendly Way
Neal’s Yard Remedies may be quite new in Malaysia but I am glad to say this is not my first encounter with this brand from UK :D. It must have been a few years ago when I was gifted with Neal’s Yard Remedies skin care. Honestly I can’t remember which and what product as it has been quite some time ago.
Fortunately for me, I was invited for an intimate pampering session at Neal’s Yard Remedies (hereinafter referred as NYR) outlet at The Gardens Mall just a few days ago to try out their wide varieties of product range as well as hand and face pampering experience. Usually I don’t attend pampering or hands-on event and workshop but it’s Neal’s Yard Remedies! I wouldn’t want to miss it for anything 😀

From far I could actually “smell” the store. If you are a regular of NYR you will know that their products are infused with herbs and flowers, which explains the aromatic signature scent of NYR.
Sooooo, besides feeling demotivated and falling off the blogging bandwagon a little bit…I’ve been rather adventurous too. The adventurous bug bite me when I was too fed up with having oil secretion on my face before mid of the day. That’s the downside of having oily skin 🙁 I started going through all my base products, digging them out from every corner of my room. I have this crazy idea of using primer over liquid foundation, before finishing powder for a better oil control. However not all makeup base / primer works. It must be something that is able to matte the surface after application. Here is my Top 3 pick of primer that works well as perfector :D. Let’s start from bottom.
When I was just earning a peanut nearly 10 years ago, I had a dream car. Me and my bf then used to talk about buying this car and he always said that the car is so me. At that time Honda Jazz is considered as one of the overpriced luxury hatchback car, bearing a hefty price tag of RM104,000 (if I’m not mistaken). Yes, a RM104,000 for a 1500 cc hatchback car! I still remember at that time those that drove a Honda Jazz is considered well-off.
My life took a new turn after joining Samsung Malaysia and slowly I was earning a comfortable income, not a lot but it was enough at that time. My current car back then was getting old and I was itching to look into Honda Jazz again. Unfortunately the price still sits on the 100,000 mark so my only option is a second hand car. I could have just bought a Myvi or something but noooo. I still want a Honda Jazz. After searching from various buying and selling channel, all the Jazz that I found was either badly modified or disposal due to over modified and even after-accident disposal. As I was quite active with Honda Car Owners Club (HCOC) at that time I started to ask around members from JFFC (Jazz Fit Friends Club) and finally someone told me that one of the member is looking to sell off his Jazz for a Honda Civic. My friend also added that the said Jazz is in a superb condition as the car owner is super caring and attentive to his car. The only thing is I was looking for a Black car and the said Jazz is in Silver. Not exactly the color I was looking for but I decided to take a look.
