Pureology Relaunched Limited Edition Hydrate Range and WaterSaver™ Salon Program for Save Water. Give Water. Campaign 2013

It is always good to see brands that are supportive towards charity event such as Earth Day, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and even World Water Day. Recently I found out that Pureology is also one of the brand that are moving towards this noble cause. If you are not aware yet, Pureology is a prestigious hair care brand under L’Oréal. L’Oreal as a corporation has set ambitious goals for waste, water and CO2 reductions and Pureology is a pioneer in sustainability among all L’Oréal brands.

In conjunction with 2013’s globally recognized World Water Day, Pureology announced its groundbreaking Save Water. Give Water. Campaign 2013.

Water conservation is the biggest initiation for Pureology worldwide every year without fail since 1998. Pureology has partnered with Green Cross International (GCI) to sponsor and help the children and women in Ghana so that they can enjoy safe drinking water and proper sanitation (http://www.gcint.org/Pureology).

In 2012, Pureology relaunched their current Pureology Hydrate range to a new packaging renovation with break through formulas and production method to reduce water usage at company level. The Save Water. Give Water. Program will consists of two strategy support. These two programs together are able to provide a multi-dimensional sustainability strategy for our hairdressers industry to help to improve the state of our environment and elevate the quality of life for those less fortunate.

(1) Limited Edition Hydrate
For every sale of Limited Hydrate products and other fundraising efforts, Pureology will contribute One Euro to Green Cross International’s clean water programs and other approved local initiatives.

(2) WaterSaverTM Salon Program
Water is the most use natural resources in hairdressers industry, from washing consumer hairs up to washing their used towels. This campaign engages salons with the brand new and innovative WaterSaver Salon digital tool and challenges them to reduce their water usage by estimating their current usage and identifying ways to conserve water.

I know you must be thinking, why water? Why not water? There are brands that are supportive towards the green initiative, or breast cancer awareness and even earth day. It make a lot of sense for Pureology to support save drinking water since hair salon waste more water than normal people. Imagine this…a worldwide water crisis with 800 million people all over the world that don’t have the privilege to a save and clean drinking water, and more than 1 billion people lack proper sanitation.
