At the moment, I am obsessed with watching YouTube beauty channels. I have quite a number of beauty gurus to watch daily so I thought I could give you a glimpse of who I’m currently following. I meant to post this up earlier but just when I was about to, I was drowned with numerous issues from the recent mishap from Mysale parcel. Now that its partly over, I can now go back to my comfort time and that is watching beauty tutorial videos. This might be a little bit lengthy. I have a lot of favourites. I can’t just tell you half and leave the other half 🙂
Here we go. Here’s my 20 Must-Watch YouTube Beauty Channels.
(1) Itsjudytime

Judy is my favourite beauty guru on YouTube. I think you probably know that already as I absolutely love love loveeee my It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette, a palette that Judy co-created with BH Cosmetics. It’s the only palette I wore daily since the day I got it. Best purchases ever! I’m also obsessed with her daily vlog. If there’s no vlog, the whole night I would feel lost *lol*. I can see how stressful daily vlog can be for Judy and Benji. It’s addicting and I keep going back for more. I’m not the only one who felt this way if there’s no vlog for the day. Most of her fans feels the same 🙂

Shaaanxo is amazing with makeup tutorials. She have this cute accent hehe. I like that she has a schedule with posting three videos per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) so I will know when to check out her channel for new video. She is also the creator and owner for her own brushes and false eyelashes line – XO Beauty. Entrepreneur at the age of 21? Amazing.
(3) Desi Perkins
YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/DesireePerkinsMakeup
I’ve been following Desi for a few months now. You haven’t watch a real makeup tutorial until you’ve watch Desi Perkins. I’m not kidding. I learnt a lot from her. All the blending, how to layer a few shades, eyebrow shaping, contouring and so on. She is a professional makeup artist from Los Angeles, happily married, extremely stylish and gorgeous. She’s one of the panel for Ipsy, Michelle Phan’s monthly beauty bag subscription service.
(4) Chrisspy
YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/ChrisspyMakeup
Website – http://chrisspymakeup.com/
Chrisspy makeup style is almost similar with Desi Perkins. Actually Desi mentioned before in one of her video that some people commented that both of their video style is very similar. That is because both of them are close friends and they film in the same Ipsy studio. I have no problem with that because Chrisspy is equally talented. I enjoyed watching her tutorial very much. She have some cool technique up her sleeve 🙂 . Chrisspy is also a makeup artist based in Los Angeles and she’s also one of the panel with Ipsy.
(5) Claire Marshall
YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/ohhaiclaire
Blog – http://www.heyclaire.com/
Claire is a makeup artist currently residing in Los Angeles that turned to beauty and lifestyle blogger. I started watching Claire’s channel not too long ago. I can’t remember how I stumble upon her channel in YouTube but I like her style, how she did makeup tutorial for Asian hooded eyes, her tattoos and how she’s just being herself. She is by far the most original YouTuber around.

(9) Gossmakeupartist
YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupartist
Other YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupchat
Wayne Goss channel is probably the reason why I was addicted to YouTube. I learnt how to use a tissue paper for the outer-V of the eye, how to do smokey eyes, how to apply blush the correct way and many more tricks from Gossmakeupartist channel. He was the one who uncovered to me Kim Kardashian highlighting and contouring secret. Unlike other channel, what I like about this channel is how he show us and explain to us on a certain trick instead of the whole full face tutorial. As Wayne said it, he broke it down into simple bite size chunk so that it’s easier to understand.
(10) Teni Panosian
YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/MissMavendotcom
Blog – http://missmaven.com/
Teni’s channel is fairly new to me but I love all her videos. I’m quite impressed with how she’s able to close one eye to do eye makeup and eyeliner! I wish I could do the same so that my forehead wrinkles is wouldn’t be this bad lol.

Huda Beauty blog is like a huge thing in Dubai. She is a Hollywood trained celebrity makeup artist in Dubai as well. She also came out with her own false eyelashes line – Huda Beauty Lashes. Recently I stumbled upon one of her old video on her makeup storage. I like how she have glass containers on her vanity table to store q-tips, cotton pads and cotton balls. (20) ThatsHeart
YouTube Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatsHeart
Second Channel – http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatsHeartTV
Blog – http://www.thatsheart.com/
And lastly how can I forget ThatsHeart. Heart launched her co-created That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette with BH Cosmetics on the same day as It’s Judy Time. I’ve been wanting to get her palette for the longest time but International Shipping to Malaysia is more than triple the price of the palette itself. But I managed to get one. I also like to watch her BF Arnold Telagaarta channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/ATtvee) where he upload vlog of him and Heart. My favourite video from ThatsHeart channel would be Get Ready With Me type of video.
Phew! There you have it. My 20 current favourite YouTube beauty channels that I’m currently following. Can someone please remind me not to do this favourite thingamajig anymore. I nearly fainted compiling the list lololol 😀
Now it’s your turn to tell me who is your favourite YouTubers that you must watch?
Comments (20)
I love Gossmakeupartist as well, he really did an amazing job on teaching us “the way” rather than “this is a tutorial on…” type. Well as for me, I love watching Maryam Maquillage and I have been following her on blog + instagram too ^_^
Gotta love his bite size chunk tips tutorial 😀 . I’ll check Maryam Maquillage out too 😉
thanks for listing down your favorites. i need more ‘me time’ to check out their channel 🙂
mine are fleur de force, amelia liana & casey holmes ^_^
You’re welcome! 🙂 . I watch FleurDe Force and Amelia Liana too. But not frequent. I discover both of them from Tati’s channel a few weeks ago 🙂 . I like Fleur’s new hair style.
20? Wow^^ I’m going to watch all the channels! Thanks for listing them up^^
No problemo! Enjoy 😀
Thanks for sharing, need time to watch all 🙂
Do you ever think of make Youtube Beauty Chanel too..Hihi..
My pleasure. Yes it did cross my mind. Supposedly wanted to make a review video for SkinnyMint review but I was quite busy the other day. But video editing is time consuming. I’m not sure if I have the time 😛
Thanks for the list. I have watched ItsJudyTime, Lisa Eldridge, Gossmakeupartist & Huda Beauty. Heard about the rest as well. YouTube are great to learn about makeup techniques and application. I found my Urban Decay Naked Foundation shade watching ItsJudyTime. LOL. Now if only I can find the time to watch them more regularly 🙂
Oh wow. That’s nice to be able to find the right foundation shade by watching YouTube video. I only can do that with close-up swatch photos of all the shades haha. Samantha Schuerman is obsessed with Urban Decay Naked Foundation. Most of them don’t make video all the time. So you can still catch one video per person on the weekend if you’re lucky. Some took a few weeks to upload one video. I like Shaaanxo for 3-videos per week 😀
I’m subscribed to at least 6/20 of your list! Other than that, I watch raeview, frmheadtotoe and misschievous.
Haha not bad. I watch From Head To Toe, NikkieTutorials, Xteeener and a few more. Just not often 🙂
omggggg i doesn’t know there are so many youtube beauty makeup channels!!! I only watch Michelle Phan.
Michelle Phan is like the tai kar cheh in YouTube 😀 . Now there are soooo many more. Most of them do YouTube video as a source of income. Hmmmm if only I can do it in Malaysia eh?
Yeah you should try as well. Dream big. Maybe you can also have your own products range and publish book! haha.
I’d come out with brushes first lol
I don’t know if you know lustrelux, nikkitutorials and makeupgeek but I love them! I am surprised you did not mentioned them but they are amazing. They are worth watching.
Hi Monique. I do know all of them and just like you, I love them too. No surprise here as I’ve featured them in part 2 https://street-love.net/2015/01/10-must-watch-youtube-beauty-channels-part-2/ and part 3 https://street-love.net/2015/09/6-must-watch-youtube-beauty-channels-part-3/.
I’m constantly posting updated YouTube channels to follow as its impossible for me to fit all channels into a post. You might run away looking at a longggggggggg blog post. So don’t be surprise if you spot part 4 and so on soon 😉
I always struggle finding youtubers or tutorials in general suited for monolids (ah the pains of being east asian). Do you have any suggestions or know of any good tutorials out there? I just find trying to follow other types of tutorials really difficult and often the finished result is generally not the greatest…
So true and I usually pretend I am not Asian LOL. From Head to Toe has good tutorials for monolids. Bubzbeauty too although hers is more simple. She has the most similar eyelid crease as ling 🙂 . A new discovery is JLINHH. She is known as the Youtuber that is able to do a winged eyeliner in a single stroke. Love this girl.
