A Tour at the First and Only Dior Backstage Studio at Suria KLCC and a Glam Up Makeover by Thuy Pham, Dior International Makeup Pro Team Artist from USA

Been dreaming to go to a fashion show but it seems like a far-fetched dream? Just visit this Dior Backstage Studio! The first, one and only recreation of the electric backstage atmosphere at a Dior Runway Show is now opened at Suria KLCC since early August 2015. What’s unique about this new space is that you will enter to a store that gives you an illusion as if you are standing at the backstage of a Dior fashion show.

Even from the store entrance, you will find yourself about to enter into a brand new makeup universe, or rather in the middle of a Dior Runway galaxy (thanks to the huge screen video walls facing the entrance) and have all your beauty needs answered. There are a playlist of background music from Dior runway shows playing on the background to set the mood and tone for you.

Top 5 Favourite Perfumes: My pick of the lot and why I love it

One of the question I get a lot is what is my favourite perfume. If you ask me out of the sudden right in front of my face, I would have problem answering you there and then. The reason is I have quite a number of perfume that I rotate on day to day basis so it is inevitably that I have a few personal favourites.

There’s a lot happening on my vanity table at the moment but my absolute favourite area is none other than the perfume tray that I bought not long ago. August 2014 Favourites: Things that are not in the blog

Ahhh favourites of the month. I never do any of this favourites post before because I never find it interesting. Besides favourites, most people also do empties. I don’t do empties post but two years ago I gave it a twist and did something called “Newly Opened” because I’m rebellious like that 😀

The reason why I never find reading favourites of the month interesting is because most people either (1) repeat the same product from last month and they can like it for a few months in a row. Nothing’s wrong with it though, don’t get me wrong. (2) Most favourites product had been reviewed before. So if I’ve already read the review, there is no need for me to know if you like it or not for a second time. (3) Most favourites product is the product that was reviewed within the same month. So long story cut short, I was itching to do something different and I’ve decided to come out with favourites of the month post too BUT, it will be on things that are not in the blog.

With all the non-stop shopping, I do try loads of new products off camera and usually these are the things that either make it to the blog or it never come near at all. Here is my August 2014 Favourites.

I met up with the beautiful ladies of Bioderma two weeks ago and Datin Juli Azmi, Chief Marketing Officer even came out to meet me. It was such a privilege to be able to meet with the people behind the highly raved brand and they brought me gifts! Datin Juli said that if I like Sensibio H20, I would like Sébium H20 even more. And she was so right. After trying the cute 20ml Sébium H20, I can say that I would prefer it over Sensibio. It has a pleasant scent to it and it is not as oily as what I’ve heard.

eBay Purchase – Crabtree & Evelyn Red Packet Set, Ronasutra, Dior + Freebies!

When I saw Crabtree & Evelyn GWP for the purchase of RM250 a few weeks ago is the angpow pouch set, I wanted that! The only problem is I don’t have anything to buy from Crabtree & Evelyn. I do have the thought of impulse purchase something from the store just to get this set. Then I remember Jenny; the eBay seller that I deal with from time to time. So I begin stalking her selling page a few times a day. Hey I’m not a stalker but just don’t want to let this set grab by other people 😀

On Tuesday morning I reached office late due to a massive jam. I only have half an hour to enjoy my coffee before rushing off for a back-to-back meeting outside. While sipping my coffee I decided to take a look at Jenny’s eBay selling page. To my delight she listed the Crabtree & Evelyn Red Packet Holder + Red Packet Set! That’s not all. Here’s what was in my parcel.

Review: Nude Lips with Dior Addict #333 Nude? Not So Fast. It’s Not As Nude As The Name Suggest

That’s right. Don’t get fool with lipstick bearing the shade name “Nude” because you’ll never know what you’ll about to discover. I’m fond with Dior Addict Extreme lipstick. So when I won a Dior Addict lipstick from Malaysian Women’s Weekly readership survey, I was thrilled!

The lipstick are given by random. There is no way I can choose the shade I want. I remember crossing my fingers that I’ll get a nude color. That’s because I already own a fuchsia pink and red lipstick from Dior Addict Extreme range. Nude shade is the only one that I’m eyeing from Dior. And what do you know? My wish came true. I was given a Dior Addict #333 Nude.

After a quick search online I find that the difference between Dior Addict with Dior Addict Extreme is the colour intensity. I suppose Extreme are more intensive than the normal Dior Addict range?

Dior maintain the same lipstick case design for this although I think that it’s kinda bulky but classy. Unlike Dior Addict Extreme, the lipstick case for Dior Addict is clear and reflects some colorful reflection at certain angle. Nice one. Finger print on the casing are not visible at all too.

On sturdiness wise it’s really well-made. The clumsy me always drop things to the floor and this lipstick survived countless drops especially when I’m doing my makeup in the rush. I’m starting to feel sorry for my cosmetics lol. But I always remind myself not to drop my Burberry palette as per advice by Adrian. Must remember that all the time.

Malaysian Women’s Weekly Readership Survey Gift

Sometime in June, Malaysia Women’s Weekly conducted a readership survey in the magazine as well as online. I thought to myself online is much more faster so I did mine through online submission.

300 readers with complete survey stand a chance to win a Dior Addict lipstick worth RM98. I’ve totally forgotten about this until I received a sms last week saying I won a Dior Addict lipstick! I prayed so hard that I’d get a nude lipstick as I already have a pink and red from Dior Addict. The only color I was thinking to buy is nude color.
I was randomly handed a lipstick and according to the receptionist that handed me the lipstick everyone is getting the same shade. As soon as I had it on my hand I looked for the color code and I got a nude color! To be exact it’s #333 Nude :P. Then I found out everyone get different shade LOL. I guess the receptionist lied so that I couldn’t choose the shade.
