I got to know Love Face when a few bloggers went to one of their event and posted on Instagram about it. Usually I browse through Instagram in a fast manner, not paying much attention but most picture from the event that I saw was 23.5N. And the brand 23.5N from Taiwan was one of the brand that I particularly like when I attended the Taiwan Beauty Power Networking Event last year. I was like… since when 23.5N was launch in Malaysia? Because I remember the brand told me that they “have plans” to expand their market to Malaysia shore but I didn’t expect they did it in just a short few months. So I started browsing Love Face website. To be honest at that time I have no idea what I was looking at as I can’t understand what they are trying to sell – is it a monthly beauty box subscription? Is it a curated type of beauty box? Why so many mask? And so on. Fast forward to a few months ago when I met the lovely Founder of Love Face. It was then I understand what is Love Face. I find that the Founder and I both have one thing in common; and that is we both do what we are passionate about and everything else such as money etc comes next. It was through that one meeting that I see my younger self in her, which is why we could meet and chat for hours. We are going to launch a Love Face X #IWillBeOkay box soon but before that, I thought I might tell you a bit more about Love Face in this short and simple post.

I love quirky beauty products. I bet all girls do. That’s what makes them buy it! Sometimes you thought you’ve seen it all, used it all, then something quirkier came out and it blew your mind. This was what makes my eye balls popped out of the socket several months ago. I first saw this new Dr. Brand Magnetight Skin Recharging Magnet Mask from Tati of Glam Life Guru channel. I quickly went on Kensapothecary website to see if we have it here in Malaysia and most importantly the price but to only find out that we do not have it. Yet. Fast forward to a month or two ago, we can finally buy Magnetight mask.
I have the mask for quite some time now. I did a quick Insta Stories first impression, literally bringing you along as I unbox and apply the mask for the first time, and many of you DM-ed me saying you saw a significant smoother and brighter skin as soon as I removed the mask. I promised an Insta Video and that took me a while to post up because my eczema on the forehead is having too much fun. It would be so weird to see a red patch on the forehead hehe. If you missed the video, you can check it out here.
Some people find it odd that I am not a fan of sheet mask and love cream or wash off mask to death. That is because my masking time is always at night, when I am penning down a blog review. I find that sheet mask tend to slide down my face and pull my skin downward along the way, especially those that are heavily soaked with essence. Those are heavy! Now this, this KOCOSTAR Slice Mask Sheet is my new found love. I love these to death. More than my wash off mask? Maybe. Probably. Well, who’s counting? 😀
I posted a short video on Instagram using KOCOSTAR Slice Mask Sheet for the first time, probably one to two months ago and I did not expect it to gained so many views. If you missed it, go click on the link to view the video 🙂 . KOCOSTAR is a Korean brand and it is a new brand available at Sephora. KOCOSTAR offers all sorts of home treatment mask series ranging from hair to toe masks. You can read all about KOCOSTAR at this link as well 😉
Something interesting I learnt and agreed 100% at the media launch of REN Evercalm™ Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask during a casual chat before the event was that most people think they have sensitive skin. Ask any of your friend what is their skin type and I bet you 9 out of 10 of them will said “sensitive skin”. In fact, ask all your friend. I find this fact to be so true because all my friends told me they had sensitive skin. That got me thinking; is there really so many people with sensitive skin??
The answer is NO. They have mistaken over-reacting skin as sensitive skin. When your skin turns red, it does not mean you have sensitive skin or your “sensitive skin” flares up. No. Skin turning red is pretty common especially when we live in such a hot and humid country. Over-reacting skin are caused by physical, environmental and lifestyle factors that can affect any skin from time to time. Untreated can lead to the actual skin sensitivity. But how do you tone down symptoms that resemble sensitive skin? Simple. With this 10-minutes REN Evercalm™ Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask!
Cream mask are my absolute favourite since I started beauty blogging. I know many girls are very much into sheet mask but I cringed at them. Cream mask does not slide down my face when I had it on while working on my computer. Some sheet mask can be a little too wet hence slippery on the face. A big no-no for me. Throw me a tube or bottle of cream mask anytime!
I had this Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask for quite some time now. As for the delay in reviewing, you already know the whole story – work caught up, camera spoilt and admitted to service center for 2 weeks. All that thingamajig story. I have also been working on every weekend for the past few months, which I have no complains. I love working. Having said that, work and attending events does took a lot of my time away from really sitting down and photographing products on the weekdays.
The Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is not new new. It was launched last year, if the details do register correctly in my brain. Innisfree is known for the hard clay version namely Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. And this Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is the cream mousse version. If you like the clay mask, you will like this too. It comes in a metal can with a pump top. This clumsy girl dropped the can and created a dent on the can the first day she got it 😀 . The pump is rather unique. It has a button cap attachment. It is recommended to always close the button cap and the can lid each time after use, which I understand as the mousse could potentially dries up if you did not.
The clay mask has its pros and con. So does this clay mousse. It is in a mousse form so it is super easy to get the product out to use. However, this is also tricky. You have to press on the dispenser carefully otherwise the mousse will flows out non-stop. A gentle, I repeat…a gentle soft press is all you need to dispense the amount for the whole face. You hardly even need to press. I am not kidding. The mousse is thick so you can spread evenly all over the face even with just a 50 cents coin amount. Another tricky part is the button cap. You have to use one of your finger to tilt the cap back so it does not get all over the mousse. Imagine doing all that while trying to gently press the pump down LOL. It is one chore I tell you 😛 . Oh and the mousse does gets all over the button cap. I always clean it up first before stuffing the button cap back but that also still gives me one heck of a mess. You know me. I am particular with cleanliness of my beauty products. It is really not an issue. Just personal preference.
If you are particular with scent, this Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask might irk you a bit. I am not particular with scent but the strong clay scent is not pleasant for my personal liking. This only happened when I apply (ter-pressed) too much product on my face. I tried a thinner layer and I hardly can smell the clay. So lesson learnt. PRESS GENTLY!
What I like about Innisfree is that all their products contain something from the Jeju island. The Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is formulated with Jeju’s natural volcanic cluster called volcanic scoria, which was formed from Jeju island’s volcano lava flow. It contain twice as much nutrients comparing to other clay and has much stronger sebum control capability than other mud or even red clay.
Once it is on the face, it does not gets everywhere. It does not drip and harden the crap out of your life like other clay mask. It feels absolutely comfortable on the skin, even on my currently dry and dehydrated skin condition. The mousse is so smooth and I heard its molecules are so much more smaller than our smallest pores. With 6,020mg of Jeju volcanic clusters in it, this means the product is able to slide on between bumps of the skin to effectively clean the pores from deep within.
As the mask does not harden up, it is very hard to feel when it is ready to be rinse off. Remember, this clay mousse is supposed to be on the face for 10-15 minutes only, then wash off with lukewarm water. After rinsing, face feels cool to touch, soft and smooth. There was no tingling or tightening on the skin at all. I am impressed.
Now comes the fun part! Following up with a cold Super Pore Tightening Mask. This is a gel-like reusable face mask. Absolute cute! I died when I saw it. The coolness from the mask helped to further tighten the pores. You can have it too FOR FREE when you purchase a Super or Jeju Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask from 15th August to 30th September 2016 😀
Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mouuse Mask is available at Innisfree stores at Sunway Pyramid, Paradigm Mall, Pavilion, and KLCC.

Many moons ago (hehe), Dr.Jart+ Malaysia asked if I would like to try their new specialized sheet mask line. I already knew the review will be delayed due to work schedule at that time but when I was ready to ripped the packaging off to try, my camera broke down. Last week I was more work-free so I took the new Dermask out to try. I was sent two different sheet mask – Neck & Chin Lift and Vital Hydra Solution. Now, we all already know how a hydrating sheet mask works so this time I decided to review something different – the Dr.Jart+ Dermask Spot Neck & Chin Lift. Also because I am so intrigued and interested with anything lifting 😀
