When I was selling my car back in August 2013, I was totally clueless on the proper step by step procedure in selling my car directly to direct buyer. I tried googling for more info but there wasn’t a complete guide and tips on what to lookout or what to be aware. After a painful and whirlwind experience, after many phone calls to my friend who used to sell used car, after a painstaking two and a half month in the process, I finally sent off my baby Jazz to the new owner just three weeks ago. Now, I am calm and I can properly pen down my experience as a guide to those that plan to sell or buy a used car directly. By directly means not going through any used car dealer or runner. This complete buying and selling used car guide will lean more to seller based on my experience but I will also weight in buyer experience based on what I know from my car’s new owner.

Ever bought a new pair of shoe that are tight or half a size smaller?
Recently I bought *counting* five pairs of shoes from the recent FJ Benjamin warehouse sales and two out of the five pairs are pumps. I’ve always adore GUESS shoes although their shoes could be quite high and slim for my fatty feet :D. All along I assume imported brands is larger in size but I couldn’t even fit into my usual Size 7! Warehouse sales could be a bit troublesome to ask for shoe to try so I ended up with Size 7.5 after I fail to fit in Size 7.
Fortunately for me I accidentally came across a tutorial from Michelle Phan on how to expand or stretch new shoe so I tried it on my “zebra” pumps and it works! I thought you might want to know this trick too so here’s my version on How To Stretch Your Shoe 😉
Blush fiend is a term I learnt from other fellow international beauty bloggers recently. The term blush fiend simply means blush collector / adorer / lover / hoarder :D. I am certainly not someone that hoard blushes. I would say I am a finishing powder hoarder as I always stock up on finishing powder regardless compact, 2-way, loose or pearl. Just not blushes.
Well, that was then. Recently whenever I saw a new collection out, I always went for the blush instead. I find it hard for me to hit the pan of the powder nowadays as I have implemented liquid foundation into the base makeup routine therefore I use much lesser powder. So the only makeup item I could think of buying to fix my beauty craving is blush! It was unintentional. By the time I realized I had turned into a blush fiend, I ended up with these.
I am not a blush fiend but I guess my collection said the otherwise?
😀
Warning: Picture heavy and long post ahead.
I know, I know. This is a super late post :P. I said I’ll post up the pictures last week on what went down at my very first brand collaboration event but I decided to put it on hold after my friend over at StriVectin saw my post about it in Facebook. Initially I plan to post up the pictures that I have from my camera as I refuse to disturb them on pictures. After the Facebook post, she recall that I have yet to get my hands on the pictures from her camera. Here’s a big thank you to Allyshea!
I know it has been some time since the event so allow me to refresh your mind just a little bit.
After having an intimate get-together session with a few of my closest reader back in January 2013, I have always been wanting to do a larger scale gathering with the concept of chit chat, test some products, beauty talk and many more. It’s sort of bringing what we’ve been doing online to offline. I briefly talk about my idea to StriVectin a week after that and the idea was soon forgotten as I was getting busier with work. The idea was brought up a few months after that by StriVectin and I rejected it due to various reason. And, brought up again. Put aside all the complicated story, I came up with the planning but shit do happen. We have all the time but soon we ran out of time also due to various backend reasons and so the event is scaled down to a smaller group. At that time and moment, I’m happy with just 10. I choose 8 readers in the end as I was screening the entries strictly and thoroughly to avoid having freeloaders. I hope everyone understand why I did what I did. StriVectin is a luxury cosmeceutical skin care brand. This would be their first event and also their first collaboration event with a beauty blogger therefore we all wanted genuine, excited readers that are interested with exploring new skin care brand as well as to errr meet me 🙂 instead of coming just to get door gift.
As usual on a Saturday morning I woke up at 6am to fetch my parents to the wet market. Many people don’t understand why so early and our family constantly get this curious question. The explanation is simple – you get the freshest vegetables, meat, fruits and many more at the earliest of the morning. Now back to the story. As usual I woke up, brush my teeth, wash my face and went straight to start my car (in my pyjamas of course lol). As I reverse out the car and waited for my parents to get in, mum knocked on my window while mumbling something. I wind down the passenger side window and I heard her saying something about “no more”. I thought she’s telling me that the reverse light or 3rd light no more light aka light bulb burnt out cause I couldn’t hear properly. Mum repeated and this time I heard it loud and clear. She was trying to tell me that my tyre is flat.
Okay, something about my parents on cars. Both of them have no clue and knowledge on car. When I first got this car with 17″ rims and running on a 205/40/R17 set of tyres, they always thought my tyres are flat or not enough air. There are also times I get conman knocking on my window at the market telling me I have flat tyres and he can help me with a small fee. Hah! They must have thought I know nuts about cars eh? 🙂 The real fact is the tyres that I’m using are the thin type. So they looked like they are flat 🙂
So today is the best time to share with you a few simple tips on how you can overcome this flat tyre issue…like a man 😀
This morning’s trip to the wet market are cancelled as I couldn’t drive with flat rear tyre. So I drove back in to the porch and was shocked to see that my super thin tyres are touching the ground! I took out my trusty handy inflator and started to fill in air, at 6.15am in the morning with loud and noisy inflator haha. Mine is not the type that fill in air and fix the hole because those type can only be use once or a few times. Mine is just the air filler.
When I first started on skin care and makeup I wasn’t earning much. Going to the counter to get full size is out of my reach. I have this mentality whereas I don’t spend on full size if I didn’t try a deluxe size product first. I’m not so keen with sample because it’s too little to tell if it suits me so deluxe has always been the size I aimed on trying. But then…getting a deluxe sample from the counter is almost impossible. I can’t just walk over and ask for it because deluxe size samples are mostly reserved for their customers or for tier GWP giveaway. Regular readers would have know that I love to shop online and I’m quite well-known in getting the best price and deal in town. People constantly ask me “how you know”? The secret is google, google and google. I don’t ask around where or how to get something cause I don’t like to trouble anyone. I google on things that I’m looking for.
Clinique is the first brand that I started with. If you remember this post, this post, this post and this post… I hauled quite a few products from one particular online website. I have never revealed which website it is unless someone ask because I always believe nothing comes by easy. That was my philosophy until quite a few months ago when some of you emailed me asking how to make a purchase from online store. Is it safe? Is it authentic? Does the item arrive? And the most frequently ask question was how do I know which seller / website to shop from. My answer is trials and error.
Nowadays I just count on Best Buy World Malaysia to settle all my beauty shopping needs. It is also through Google I found Best Buy World Malaysia. Today I am going to show you on how to navigate around Best Buy World Malaysia as well as a step-by-step guide on making a purchase. This will answer all newbie’s curiosity and answer :). Sit back, grab a muffin and make yourself a cup of hot coffee because this is going to be picture heavy and long 🙂
