Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara: My current favourite mascara

That’s right. The Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara is my absolute current favourite mascara at the moment. I have bought and tried a number of mascara lately but I haven’t found any oil-proof mascara except this one. I have this since mid 2012 sitting in my drawer without me even realising that this is truly an under-estimated hidden gem.

I have thought of not reviewing this because this mascara is from 2011 Holiday Set and I assume it’s a limited edition mascara that is not available at counter. I did a quick search online at Estée Lauder Malaysia website and you know what? This is a permanent mascara!

First iHerb Shopping Experience: The process, the shipping and the purchase

Last month I shared with you My Favourite Top 3 Online Beauty Stores and I did mentioned that iHerb is a favourite online site for most people I know due to it’s low international shipping rate. I also mentioned that I probably don’t have the patience to wait for the shipment to arrive, which I don’t and still don’t 😀

The story on how I made my first iHerb purchase came about when I wanted to pick up Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Sam’s Picks Exclusive Brush Set. Unfortunately for me the brush set is out of stock and it will only be available in April. April came along and the brush set is still yet available so I waited for another few more weeks but to no avail. Finally I decided to forgo the brush set and get individual brush that I need instead. There’s so many things I wanted to pick up right away however I took a good few days to rethink if I should as the mother of all warehouse sales is happening in three weeks time.

This is a small haul which I shared with my friend Cynthia.

My iHerb transaction was surprisingly smooth. I would expect lots of drama but there was no nonsense. Not that I wanted chaos or whatsoever but I seems to be quite unlucky sometimes when it comes to online shopping. Furthermore iHerb is not local so can’t blame me for over thinking 😀

Bag of Love Beauty Box Review

Bag Of Love “Stay Beautiful and Read On” March/April 2014 Edition Review

Oh wow. It’s been a while since I last subscribed for any Bag Of Love. My last subscription is still my favourite bag of all, which is the Bag Of Love “Go, Girl, Go!” November 2013 Edition. I tried stopping myself from beauty box but failed badly but at that time I’ve determined so I stopped all beauty box/bag simultaneously as I was running out of space to store all the samples. Even though so I still follow Bag Of Love Facebook page closely (just in case I like the teaser). And I did!

Bag Of Love “Stay Beautiful and Read On” March/April 2014 Edition is Bag Of Love’s first bi-monthly subscription bag. They have decided to take things slow and changed the usual monthly subscription to bi-monthly. What this mean is you will no longer be able to subscribe for their bag monthly. This doesn’t impact me a bit as I don’t subscribe that much.

This edition’s bag/pouch is a huge one. According to MiMi the owner you can even fit books in it. I suppose you can judging from the size. However I’m still not a fan of pouches and bags. Up till today my favourite is still the denim Levi’s tote bag.

All-NEW ASTALIFT White: Renamed, an enhanced version of existing whitening skincare series and infused with new ingredient

Not many know that ASTALIFT is actually a Japanese award-winning anti-aging skincare brand by FUJIFILM. Yes, FUJIFILM the multinational photography and imaging company! You know Instax? The polaroid camera that everyone has been crazy about? That’s by FUJIFILM.

I’m not into the whole polaroid craze so my only memory towards ASTALIFT has always been their anti-aging skin care range. And actually I get to know ASTALIFT long before they were even in Malaysia. From Singapore to be precise 🙂 . I subscribed for Vanity Trove March 2012 box and that’s how I get to try ASTALIFT. Now, two years later ASTALIFT is replacing and renaming it’s whitening skin care range to ASTALIFT White with the launch of it’s new whitening skin care products.

ASTALIFT White 1

Combined with other effective whitening ingredients such as Arbutin, Vitamin C, three other types of collagen to deliver the feel of firmer skin and let’s not forget about ASTALIFT’s signature ingredient – Astaxanthin. It is considered as nature’s most powerful super antioxidants and whitening capabilities to help inhibit melanin production in the skin. ASTALIFT White is able to produce an advanced whitening effects that inhibit melanin production in the skin while achieving a more brighter and translucent complexion at the same time.

Budget - Make Up Budget Buy Daiso Review: Make Up

Daiso Eye Brow Pencil: It was out of stock a year ago and recently back on shelf!

So the story is, I was very much into trying out different Daiso Eye Brow Pencil and this particular eye brow pencil caught my eye due to the catchy packaging and it is the one eye brow pencil that doesn’t look as cheapo as the rest. I bought it, used it the next morning, love it so much that I wanted to tell you about it. I even went back to get a spare. Two weeks later right before penning down my review, I went to Daiso to double check if it’s still available. You know, just in case it was taken out of shelf then it wouldn’t be nice to talk about something that was out of stock. Turns out my sixth sense was right after all. It was out of stock everywhere (the few Daiso I went to).

To be frank, I never stop searching for this eye brow pencil. It has been a year and I still have hope that one day it will reappear on the shelf again. Just last week I went to Daiso to repurchase some Anna Sui inspired brush holder, so I casually walked over to the eye brow pencil section and I couldn’t believe what I just saw. The long out of stock eye brow pencil is now well-stocked up on shelf!

Daiso Eye Brow Pencil 1
Since I wasn’t willing to spend near to RM40 for an Empro from Watsons, this Daiso one would be the perfect alternative 😀 . I am not particular about eye brow pencil brand, price or whatsoever because I go through eye brow pencil like no body’s business. So I’m constantly on the lookout for interesting eye brow pencil to try. Oh gawd, this reminds me to get Shu Uemura H9.
